Forging the Sacred Link -- The Dalai Lama at the Kumbha Mela |
Addressing an overflowing crowd at one of the largest compounds at the Mela, the Dalai Lama, Panditji (Pandit Rajmani, Head of the Himalayan Institute), and Hindu leaders stressed the need for religious tolerance, and called for recognition of the highest values that link us all in the realm of true spirituality.
Said Ashok Singhal, a prominent Hindu leader, “In His Holiness the Dalai Lama, we see the spirit of Buddha, the Enlightened One, who walks among us to light the lamp of nonviolence and tolerance at the altar of human hearts.
